St. Croix State Park - Memorial Weekend 2014

We headed to St. Croix State Park for Memorial weekend. This is our third year here. The park is quiet on holiday weekends even though it's very full. We had made a reservation at site 10E in the riverview campground, but wanted to check out to the non reservable sites when we arrived. 137E was available and was a very large private site that backed up to the woods. We took that site and it was wonderful.

The weather couldn't have been better. Four straight days of sun! We biked 67 miles, did a lot of hiking and walking and the girls and my mom came out on Saturday and stayed overnight.

Sibley State Park May 15-18, 2014

Headed to Sibley State Park for the first camping outing of the summer. The weekend started a bit cool (high of only 54 on Thursday), but it was sunny and by Saturday it was 70 degrees. The park was only about half full in the lower campground and only about 5 campers in the upper campground. We hiked to Mount Tom, rode bikes and just relaxed taking in the warm sunshine.
