Itasca State Park September 4-7, 2015 (Labor Day Weekend)

We headed to our favorite Minnesota State Park over Labor Day Weekend - Itasca.

The weather was super hot and humid and I had a icky cold, but we still managed to bike over 50 miles and relaxed.

Itasca State Park, July 17-20, 2014

Itasca State Park has 2 campgrounds. Pine Ridge is the newer campground. The sites are a bit more open in the front part and very private and wooded in the back. The back sites don't have electricity. The bathrooms in this park are newer and very nice offering private bathroom facilities and single room showers. The other campground is Bear Paw. They have a few housekeeping cabins, the bathrooms are log cabin and you can see the lake from some of the sites. We stayed at Bear Paw this trip and really liked this campground. We were with my family so we had 3 sites and one of the cabins. The sites aren't huge in this park, but they are nice and our site was very private.

Itasca State Park - August, 2013

Made a last minute trip up to Itasca State Park. We didn't have the greatest site, but we had beautiful weather and did ALOT of biking. Brad's parents drove up for the day.

Itasca - 4th of July week, 2012

We went to Itasca State Park for 8 nights over the 4th of July.  We missed getting here last year because of the state shutdown.  We had hot beautiful weather with the exception of one night when a very fast storm came through and took down quite a few trees.  There is so much to do at Itasca - we walked, swam, biked over 100 miles, took out a paddle boat and golfed twice at a nearby course.
