Minneapolis Holidazzle Marketplace and Mall of America December, 2014

Mom, the girls and I headed to Minneapolis to check out to the new Holidazzle Marketplace and do some shopping at the Mall of America. We stayed overnight near the MOA at the Springhill Suites.

The Holidazzle marketplace is the new thing in place of the parade. The idea is a good one - little outdoor markets selling Christmas ornaments, food and other miscellaneous items it is supposed to be like the Christmas markets in Europe. However, the space just isn't enough for all of the people, they charge $6.00 per person to get in and there are stairs so it isn't the easiest to get around. Still it's a great atmosphere. We then walked up and down Nicollet mall a bit. They had live reindeer, but there really isn't a whole lot of other things going on.

We then headed down to our hotel, checked in and took the shuttle over to the MOA. We ate dinner at a place that is decorated like Key West (can't remember the name). The food was pretty good. Every time I go to the MOA I forget that almost every store you can go to somewhere else and the mall is so big that its really not a great place to shop.

Our hotel was great - they picked us back up at the MOA so we didn't have to worry about finding parking. Our room was really spacious with 2 big queen beds and a pull out couch.
