Salzburg - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany - May 12, 2015

May 12, 2015
We drove from Salzburg to Prien and took a boat over to Herrenchemmse - one of King Ludwigs Castles. We had a bit of a hard time finding the area where the boats where as it wasn't as well marked as other castles. This castle was modelled after the Versaille Palace and was very extravagant. The gardens were big and there were lots of fountains. We ate lunch at the outdoor cafe (weiners, fries and ice cream).

boat we took over to the island/castle

You could walk or take a horse carriage ride (15 minute walk or $3/person ride one way)

We then drove on to Garmisch-Parkenkirchen where we were going to spend 2 nights at the Gastehaus Brigitte. This place was very German. We had to stop for directions again but we found it. We had dinner at a German restaurant outside (weiners, bread and apple strudel).
